Casa Vallejo is an institution in the Philippine’s summer capital city of Baguio. Established in 1909, it is considered as the oldest hotel in Baguio. It is also awarded by the Baguio Centennial Commission as one of the 10 oldest institutions in the city.
Built of wood, galvanized iron, and sawali, Casa Vallejo was first referred to as Dormitory 4. It was constructed by the Americans to house construction workers who helped build Baguio City. In 1923, the dormitory was leased to Salvador Vallejo who transformed the dormitory into a hotel named after him.
